Using the Chrome web browser go to wickeditor.com. Click the launch editor button. Follow the text and images on this page to make a simple animation of a square. We will create 3 frames that make it look like the square is falling.

Start by selecting the rectangle tool in the toolbar and draw a black square on the top of your canvas.

You now have the first keyframe in your animation. In order to create the second frame hover your mouse over the second keyframe in the timeline (bottom-left corner of the window) and click the plus sign.

You will notice that the second keyframe is again a blank canvas. However, we want to see where our black square was before so we can place a new black square a little bit lower than it was before. To do this, select the Onion Skinning tool from the canvas tool menu (bottom right corner)

Next, draw a black square slightly lower than the one on your last keyframe.

Next, you are going to create your 3rd and final keyframe by using the copy and paste tools on the toolbar. Select the 2nd frame and click the copy button. Then click the 3rd frame and click the paste button. Lastly, use the cursor tool to move your square lower than the 2nd keyframe and click play.

Hooray! You made your very first digital animation. Press the play button to see your creation. Be sure to save this project so you can access it later.
