Background: It's time for the fun stuff. Now you get to enter the studio and start talking. Please note that the instructions below are for using a different website to record and save your recording to turn in. However, since writing these instructions I realized that when using the media recording option in Canvas you can select the USB soundboard to record high quality, 4-person audio right inside of Canvas. Ask your instructor for help if you have trouble adding yourself to a group or completing any of these steps.

 

Task:

  1. Take your Chromebook to the BNN studio and plug in the mixer usb cable into your Chromebook.
  2. Plug in the mixer to the power outlet.
  3. Open the website https://online-voice-recorder.com/ Links to an external site. on your Chromebook.
  4. Click on the gear in the blue recording area.
  5. Select the USB option.
  6. Put on your headphones and check your microphone levels.
  7. Check your headphone levels.
  8. If all is well, press the red record button on the screen.
  9. When you are finished click the red stop button.
  10. If you like it click the save button. If you don't like it click the x in the top right of the blue recording area and repeat steps 8 and 9.
  11. Turn in your file to this assignment and additionally save it to your Google drive if you'd like.
